Tacoma is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tacoma follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place used to be incredible, but someone is definitely dropping the ball on pest control. All of the giant, beautiful old plants are COVERED in scale, aphids, spider mites, thrips-you name it, they are there. It was really sad seeing the shape everything was in and I canβt imagine any of them are salvageable with how much scale is everywhere. The huge bird of paradise had sooo many mealy bugs you could see the white dots all over everything. The $$$ itβs going to take the replace everything in thereβ¦ letβs hope it stays open.

I have seen this arboretum several times while walking through Wright Park. This was the first time it was open and it was worth the wait! The plants are from just about everywhere, beautiful from tropical to deep desert cactus. There is a small koi fish pond with a small waterfall that is very soothing ( just wish there were a few more fish! ) and the fish are beautiful. There is also a little garden gift shop that has a good selection and even sells live plants. Worth the visit! Check ahead on their website to see hours.

Best place I ever visited in Tacoma during winter. The gardens are free to enter but a donation is encouraged. Very well maintained

Second largest botanical garden in the United states. I loved this conservancy because it was full of color! We went in October and were shocked to see so many different varities still blooming. You can tell there was thoughtful design put into this space. If you love plants, you have to make this stop while in Baltimore

This was a delightful slice of plant bliss. And for how magical is was for a plant lover, there was also free street parking and this is completely free to go into- but please donate if you can to help keep this amazing place around. There were so many beautiful tropical plants, flowering Hoyas, huge philodendron leaves, Alocasiaβs, begonias, and so many more types of plants. The shop was super cute and the ladies working were amazing. I canβt wait to go back and bring my friends the next time Iβm in Tacoma!
